Ashbrook Hall repair work continues

Pictures taken December 3rd. Inside west wall in Ashbrook Hall is completed. Broken door window lattice replaced in 6 outside doors.

Repair of Ashbrook Hall continues into November

Work continues on the repair work in Ashbrook Hall. November weather allowed for the continued repair of the outside walls. Weathered siding was removed and replaced and the building was painted. The west wall is complete. The men were working on the east wall on this day.

Snow covered the ground on November 21 and the work moved indoors. The crew of three that day worked on redoing the west wall.

The men stopped for another week... but work will continue.

Wind Damage from "Hurricane Ike"

These pictures show some of the damage done from Sunday, September 14th's windstorm (leftovers from Hurricane Ike). Much clean-up had already occurred before these pictures were taken on Tuesday afternoon. Three cabins sustained some damage. Quite a number of trees were down and the grounds were littered with branches and twigs. The ground in front of Ashbrook Hall was covered with walnuts that fell prematurely during the storm.

This last picture shows the progress being made on the residing of Ashbrook Hall.

Women's Retreat 2008

The Women's Retreat was held at Camp on September 12-13, 2008. Linda Hamblen from Calvary Bible Church in Lima was the speaker. Melissa Moss, Kay Baier, and Karen Meyer were workshop leaders. "Best retreat ever!" was the comment heard from many of the ladies who attended.
